Softball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Lanier lost against Providence Christian Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Longhorns fell just short of the Storm by a score of 4-3.

Lindsay Sisk was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carol Rubio-Hurtado, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Lanier has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Providence Christian Academy, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lanier will host Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will take on Landmark Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
