Recap: Victory Christian Academy Knights vs. Pacifica Tritons
The Victory Christian Academy Knights posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pacifica 57-17 on the road. Given Victory Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Pacifica is ranked 700th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Victory Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophia Abella out in front who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mai'ana Norita, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Victory Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Pacifica, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Victory Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Camarillo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Camarillo is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Pacifica, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Monte Vista at 3:00 p.m.
