Soccer Game Preview: Lemoore vs. Tulare Western

The Lemoore Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Tulare Western Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tulare Western will have to contend with a Lemoore squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since November 21. Lemoore and Dinuba finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Lemoore's goal came courtesy of Haley Monik Moreno, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Tulare Western's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanford. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Bullpups are ranked 72nd).

Tulare Western's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-5-1. With that draw, Lemoore's record moves to 1-8-3.

Lemoore came up short against Tulare Western in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Lemoore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
