Soccer Game Preview: Rolling Meadows vs. Hersey

Rolling Meadows is 0-8-2 against Hersey since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will host the Huskies at 7:00 p.m.

Rolling Meadows managed to keep up with Elk Grove until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mustangs came up short against the Grenadiers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Rolling Meadows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Elk Grove are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hersey). Their defense stepped up to hand Jacobs a 7-0 shutout on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what Hersey needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Hersey's win bumped their record up to 12-6-1. As for Rolling Meadows, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-3.
