Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Comes Up Short

Nelson County hit Bethlehem with a five-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell 10-6 to the Cardinals. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Bethlehem and nudges their season record down to 21-15. As for Nelson County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-14.

While Bethlehem had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
