Currituck County proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the First Flight Nighthawks 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Nighthawks two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Currituck County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-10.

Daisy Pond paced Currituck County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pond got some help from Melody Hill and her 28 assists. Pond was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Currituck County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for First Flight, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-10 record.
