Wapsie Valley won the last time they faced Oelwein and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 11-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Wapsie Valley pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Oelwein, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wapsie Valley beat the Huskies by a score of 8-1 later that day.
