After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Newton, Heritage was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Rockdale County Bulldogs. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Leah Sow, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Chloe Wright, who went 3-for-4 with two triples and two runs.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Rockdale County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Heritage will face off against South Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rockdale County, they will challenge Archer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
