Basketball Recap: Bonita Vista Piles Up the Points Against Pacific Ridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bonita Vista). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Pacific Ridge Firebirds 66-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Barons have posted since February 2, 2024.

Bonita Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Syana Trotter, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Trotter is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Shea Gonzalez, who posted 19 points and five steals.

The win made it two in a row for Bonita Vista and bumps their season record up to 3-9. As for Pacific Ridge, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Bonita Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-49 defeat against Hoover on the 3rd. As for Pacific Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-40 victory against Southwest EC on the 3rd.
