Volleyball Recap: Woodrow Wilson's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Woodrow Wilson dropped down to 8-3-3 on Tuesday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Spring Valley Timberwolves by a score of 2-1. The Flying Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Timberwolves earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Woodrow Wilson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyndra Bailey had 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Bailey.

As for Spring Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-4 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 6th.

Spring Valley can attribute much of their success to Addison Bailey, who had nine digs and two aces.

Coincidentally, Woodrow Wilson and Spring Valley will both be playing Capital the next time they take the court. The Flying Eagles will head out to face the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Timberwolves will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
