Basketball Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Gets the Win

San Lorenzo Valley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 39-30 win over the Harbor Pirates. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julianne Sanguinetti, who posted 12 points. Lia Lafrandt was another key player, putting up nine points.

San Lorenzo Valley's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-7. As for Harbor, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Lorenzo Valley will welcome Scotts Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harbor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Soquel at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
