Soccer Game Preview: Paideia vs. Druid Hills

The Paideia Pythons will venture away from home to square off against the Druid Hills Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Paideia made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mount Paran Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Paideia never let Mount Paran Christian get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. That looming 5-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pythons yet this season.

They hit Mount Paran Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noah Armour (2), Jack Evans (2), and Felix Finch.

Meanwhile, Druid Hills had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Phoenix as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Druid Hills pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Paideia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
