They won by a goal and slipped past the Riverside Prep Silver Knights 3-2. This was payback for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

They hit Riverside Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isabella Chavez, Esmeralda Jimenez, and Chelsie Pachco.

With the victory, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4-1. As for Riverside Prep, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-11.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will challenge Excelsior Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
