Softball Recap: Pike County Pirates vs. Northgate Vikings
After flying high against Jackson on Wednesday, Pike County came back down to earth. The Pike County Pirates fell 7-4 to the Northgate Vikings on Thursday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2021.
Pike County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6. As for Northgate, they pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
As of now, neither Pike County nor Northgate have any future games scheduled.
