Softball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Papillion-Lavista's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Papillion-LaVista had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Millard West Wildcats with a sharp 15-8 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won 23 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Papillion-LaVista got a massive performance out of Bella Arriola, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Arriola a new career-high. Allison Dibelka was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Papillion-LaVista has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Millard West, their loss dropped their record down to 27-9.

As of now, neither Papillion-LaVista nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
