Basketball Recap: La Salle Lancers vs. St. Monica Mariners

La Salle was the 61-18 winner over St. Monica when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The La Salle Lancers took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Monica Mariners.

La Salle lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aislin Tamez Torres, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 13 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Casey Higgins, who went 5 for 7 en route to 14 points.

Even though they lost, La Salle was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Monica only posted nine assists.
