The Morton Potters will venture away from home to square off against the Dunlap Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Morton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Morton's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Normal West by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Morton.

Joe Anders and Cooper Smith scored both of Morton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Dunlap sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Normal University on Saturday. Given Dunlap's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Normal University are ranked 123rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dunlap's victory bumped their record up to 13-2-2. As for Morton, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-3.

Morton might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Dunlap when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Potters were down 4-0.
