Football Game Preview: Lansing Lions vs. Ottawa Cyclones + How To Watch

The Lansing Lions will face off against the Ottawa Cyclones on Friday. Lansing has given up an average of 34.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lansing is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They came up short against Basehor-Linwood, falling 42-20. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Bobcats are ranked 26th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caden Garcia, who threw for 223 yards and a pair of TDs. Jaxon Pollard helped Garcia out on the ground, rushing for 108 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ottawa, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They managed a 14-10 victory over Tonganoxie on Friday.

Ottawa pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.2 points on average over those games. As for Lansing, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
