Flag Football Recap: Dobson Comes Up Short

Dobson lost against Mountain View back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Toros. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Toros are ranked tenth).

Mountain View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was TIERAH METCALF out in front who threw for 241 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of her passes, and also rushed for 38 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns METCALF has posted since back in September. Mountain View also got help from EMMA FISCHBECK, who showed off her sure hands for 155 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Dobson and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Dobson has already played their next contest, a 26-9 loss against Mesa on the 29th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 58-0 win against Westwood on the 29th.
