Soccer Recap: Placer Takes a Loss

Placer was the 1-0 winner over Twelve Bridges when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Placer Hillmen took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Hillmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 75th).

Placer's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 0-1-2 and their overall record down to 1-3-2. As for Twelve Bridges, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Placer will welcome Yuba City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Placer's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Twelve Bridges, they are taking a road trip to square off against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Twelve Bridges is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.
