Football Game Preview: Central Lake Trojans vs. Onaway Cardinals + How To Watch

The Central Lake Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Onaway Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Lake has given up an average of 27.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central Lake is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Onekama, who was ranked seventh at the time (Central Lake was ranked 20th). The Trojans came up short against the Portagers on Friday, falling 36-14. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Portagers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Onaway lost 36-12 to Cedarville on Friday.

Central Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Onaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Central Lake didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Onaway when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 32-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
