Basketball Recap: Panorama Takes a Loss

If Panorama was riding high fresh off their 58-25 takedown of Sun Valley Magnet last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panorama Pythons were outmatched by the Kennedy Cougars and fell 73-26. While losing is never fun, the Pythons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1011th, while the Cougars are ranked 307th).

When it comes to explaining why Panorama lost on Wednesday, don't look at VALERY QUEZADA. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points and five boards.

Andreya Villa continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kennedy, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Melanie Mendez was another key player, going 8 of 9 en route to 20 points.

Panorama's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Kennedy, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panorama won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against San Fernando at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Canoga Park at 5:30 p.m.
