Basketball Game Preview: Berkeley Yellowjackets vs. Encinal Jets

The Berkeley Yellowjackets will square off against the Encinal Jets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Berkeley will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Berkeley strolled past Arroyo with points to spare, taking the game 42-25.

Meanwhile, Encinal hadn't done well against Castro Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Jets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 victory over the Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jets have posted since January 9th.

Berkeley's record is now 9-11. As for Encinal, their record now sits at 8-13.

Berkeley was dealt a bruising 59-27 defeat at the hands of Encinal in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
