Softball Recap: Fairbury Gets the Win

Fairbury's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 13-8 win over the Fillmore Central Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 last Tuesday.

Jordin Gill was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Molly Hansmire was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Fairbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Fairbury's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Fillmore Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Fairbury didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Centennial on the 6th. As for Fillmore Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-8 win against Lincoln Northwest on the 6th.
