Baseball Game Preview: Yulee Hornets vs. Stanton Blue Devils + Official Tickets

The Yulee Hornets will square off against the Stanton Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yulee will be strutting in after a win while Stanton will be coming in after a loss.

Yulee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Westside 18-3 on Tuesday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Logan Riege was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2025. Alex Davis was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Stanton's offense. They lost 10-0 to Paxon School For Advanced Studies on Monday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Yulee, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.

Yulee was able to grind out a solid victory over Stanton when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 11-6. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
