Basketball Recap: The Cambridge School Comes Up Short

The Cambridge School has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the O'Farrell Charter Falcons. The Griffins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2021.

Liona Rusom was a one-woman wrecking crew for O'Farrell Charter as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 steals. Another player making a difference was Ty'Reiona WashingTon, who posted 12 points and three steals.

The Cambridge School's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for O'Farrell Charter, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Cambridge School will welcome Bayfront Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for O'Farrell Charter, they will look to defend their home court on February 4th against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:15 p.m.
