Baseball Game Preview: Jackson County Panthers vs. Bayside Academy Admirals

The Jackson County Panthers will square off against the Bayside Academy Admirals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Jackson County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, it was close, but Jackson County sidestepped Baker for a 4-2 victory.

The team relied heavily on Preston Wilson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Meanwhile, Bayside Academy got the win against Shelby County on Friday by a conclusive 9-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Admirals.

Bayside Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jackson County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Jackson County suffered a grim 16-7 defeat to Bayside Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Jackson County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
