Softball Recap: Westover Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last eight contests, Westover finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mary Persons Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The shutout was out of character for the Patriots seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Westover's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-12. As for Mary Persons, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mary Persons beat Westover by a score of 16-1 later that day.
