Volleyball Recap: Marvin Ridge Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Marvin Ridge came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the River Bluff Gators by a score of 2-0. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

Victoria Simons paced Marvin Ridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Simons got some help from Jillian Young and her 24 assists. Natalie Unkrich controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Marvin Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for River Bluff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marvin Ridge will square off against Lake Norman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Bluff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lugoff-Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
