Volleyball Recap: Granbury Comes Up Short

Granbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars.

Kailynne Sermerini paced Granbury's offense, picking up eight kills. Sermerini got some help from Kyleigh Huggins and her seven assists. Mattie Weaver controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Granbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Floresville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Granbury has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Spring on the 15th. As for Floresville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Santa Fe on the 15th.
