Football Game Preview: Catholic Memorial Knights vs. Xaverian Brothers Hawks + How To Watch

Catholic Memorial is 8-2 against Xaverian Brothers since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will square off against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Catholic Memorial will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Catholic Memorial took their contest with ease, bagging a 47-14 victory over Malden Catholic. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Knights just coasted through the last quarter.

It was another big night for Kise Flannery, who rushed for 102 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also threw for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Christian Simmons was in the mix too, providing Catholic Memorial with two TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Catholic Memorial's defense and their four sacks. Malden Catholic's QB won't forget Alfred Tennyson anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Orion Fernandez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Xaverian Brothers got the win against St. John's on Friday by a conclusive 40-16. With the Hawks ahead 33-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Catholic Memorial's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Xaverian Brothers, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Catholic Memorial came out on top in a nail-biter against Xaverian Brothers when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 40-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
