Basketball Recap: Cibola Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cibola lost against La Cueva back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell 64-53 to the Bears. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hunter Butler was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds for La Cueva. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Trujillo, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Cibola now has a losing record of 2-3. As for La Cueva, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cibola won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Mesa at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for La Cueva, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Santa Fe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
