Softball Recap: Rock Bridge Takes Down Ranked Elkhorn South

Rock Bridge is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Elkhorn South. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Storm. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Rock Bridge's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Elkhorn South, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-5 record.

Rock Bridge has already played their next game, a 6-1 defeat against Bellevue East on the 6th. As for Elkhorn South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Wayne on the 6th.
