Softball Recap: Fredericktown Black Cats vs. Neelyville Tigers
Fredericktown took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Neelyville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Black Cats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Monday, sneaking past 8-7.

Brylie Allgier was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Reagan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Fredericktown has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Neelyville, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
As of now, neither Fredericktown nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
