Soccer Game Preview: Franklin vs. Eagle Rock

Franklin hasn't had much luck against Eagle Rock recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Franklin Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Eagle Rock Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Franklin's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lincoln 1-0.

Meanwhile, Eagle Rock won against Wilson on Friday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. Eagle Rock blew past Bravo 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

They hit Bravo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Maleah Argota (2), Quinn Powell, and Abigail Velez.

Eagle Rock has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season. As for Franklin, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Franklin suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Eagle Rock in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Franklin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
