Soccer Game Preview: Beverly Hills vs. Culver City

The Beverly Hills Normans will head out on the road to challenge the Culver City Centaurs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Beverly Hills is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Monica just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Normans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Culver City entered their tilt with Leuzinger on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Olympians an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Centaurs have won five contests by more than seven goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Culver City pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those four games. As for Beverly Hills, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-5-2.
