Grace Mcdonough commands the offense for Crusaders win

Recap: Lansdale Catholic Crusaders vs. Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles

The Lansdale Catholic Crusaders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Conwell-Egan Catholic 55-41. Given Lansdale Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Conwell-Egan Catholic is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lansdale Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Mcdonough, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcdonough has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Boccella, who scored 18 points along with three steals.

Conwell-Egan Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brooke Mcfadden, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lily Milewski, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.

Lansdale Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Lansdale Catholic will face off against Glen Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Glen Ridge: 30, Lansdale Catholic: 28.7) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they will face off against Monsignor McClancy at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Monsignor McClancy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
