Brookwood had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Grayson Rams with a sharp 15-5 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Broncos have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Marshall Jackson tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Brookwood got a massive performance out of Mason Archie, who went 1-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Archie a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Max Rogozinski, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Brookwood is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Grayson, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Brookwood beat the Rams by a score of 1-0 later that day.
