Soccer Game Preview: Mission San Jose vs. Washington

Mission San Jose hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mission San Jose Warriors will challenge the Washington Huskies at 4:00 p.m.

Mission San Jose is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against James Logan, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1057th, while the Colts are ranked 385th).

Meanwhile, on TuesdayIrvington kept up with Washington until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Washington's defense stepped up to hand Irvington a 5-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Ava Garcia as she scored three goals for her team.

Mission San Jose's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Washington, the win got them back to even at 6-6-1.

Mission San Jose might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Washington in their previous matchup back in January. Can Mission San Jose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
