Football Recap: Millikan Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Millikan had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Foothill Falcons by a score of 27-14. The Rams pushed the score to 27-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

The critical scores for Millikan came from Peyton McCutcheon, Jay Williams, Diamond Graham Jr, and Jude Nelson.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Millikan's defense and their five sacks. McCutcheon was especially locked on to Foothill's QB and sacked him twice. McCutcheon has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Millikan received some extra help from McCutcheon, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

When it comes to explaining why Foothill lost, don't look at Anthony Taylor. Despite the final result, he rushed for 126 yards and one score, and also caught one TD.

Millikan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-20 victory against Newbury Park on the 22nd. As for Foothill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-28 win against Mojave on the 22nd.
