Basketball Recap: West Middlesex Comes Up Short

West Middlesex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 56-36 to the Lakeview Sailors. While losing is never fun, the Big Reds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while the Sailors are ranked 179th).

West Middlesex's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lakeview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

West Middlesex will be playing in front of their home fans against Mercer at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Lakeview, they are taking a road trip to take on Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Northwestern will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Lakeview surely won't give up without a fight.
