Soccer Game Preview: Collins Hill vs. Gainesville

The Collins Hill Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Gainesville Red Elephants at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Collins Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Collins Hill barely beat Central Gwinnett the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Collins Hill blew past Central Gwinnett 6-0 on Friday. Jackson Burrell was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Despite a strong season so far, Gainesville has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 4-1 to Lanier on Tuesday.

Collins Hill is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those eight contests. Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Collins Hill beat Gainesville by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, winning 1-0. Will Collins Hill repeat their success, or does Gainesville has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
