Basketball Recap: Lynwood Comes Up Short

Lynwood suffered their biggest loss since January 11th on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Ontario Christian Knights and fell 77-50. The defeat continues a trend for Lynwood in their matchups with Ontario Christian: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Lynwood still got an impressive performance from Skyy Simmons, who posted 21 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lunden Edwards, who earned nine points.

Ontario Christian found their leader in sophomore Kaleena Smith, who went 10 of 22 to rack up 26 points and four steals. Smith's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 26 points. Sydney Douglas was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 18 boards.

Lynwood's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Ontario Christian, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-1.

As of now, neither Lynwood nor Ontario Christian have any future games scheduled.
