Baseball Game Preview: Mitchell County Eagles vs. Seminole County Indians

Mitchell County hasn't had much luck against Seminole County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mitchell County is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They came up short against Terrell County, falling 22-14. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (12), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Paul Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Jayden Richardson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Seminole County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Miller County.

Seminole County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Jarvis, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Seminole County's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Mitchell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mitchell County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Seminole County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
