The Kaiser Cats will challenge the Irvine Vaqueros at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Kaiser is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Santa Barbara as they made off with a 7-0 victory.
Not much got past Zeke Isaak Cortez, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Santa Barbara off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caleb Inzunza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alberto Arteaga, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Kaiser was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Irvine sidestepped Cathedral for a 2-1 win. That's two games straight that the Vaqueros have won by just one run.
Jason Alderson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Irvine's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-1 (and 11-12 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Owen Song was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.
Kaiser's record is now 18-13. As for Irvine, their record now sits at 17-13.
Kaiser came out on top in a nail-biter against Irvine in their previous meeting back in May of 2022, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
