North Murray is 8-1-1 against Gilmer since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mountaineers are taking a road trip to challenge the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. North Murray's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times North Murray and Murray County had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Indians who were credited with the win on Tuesday. Murray County got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to North Murray's one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gilmer took on Ringgold on Monday. The Bobcats never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Gilmer, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Gilmer is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those seven games. As for North Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

North Murray beat Gilmer by a goal when the teams last played back in February of 2022, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
