High school football: Jordan Durham of Florida tops national passing yardage leaderboard

Zarephath Academy senior has thrown for 500 yards or more twice this season.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Jordan Durham of Zarephath Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) is high school football's national leader in passing yardage.

Through five games this season, Durham has thrown for 2,097 yards and 20 touchdowns, helping his team go 5-0. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound senior has passed for more than 500 yards twice and at least 300 in every game. He is completing 71.5 percent of his passes and has thrown just one interception.

Ja'Niaus Avanti K'Mere Hall of Lima Senior (Lima, Ohio) is No. 2 with 1,821 yards in four games. The junior has put up video game numbers the past two weeks by throwing for 1,159 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Kamden Lopati of West (Salt Lake City, Utah) is fourth on the list and the No. 1 sophomore with 1,684 yards. Last week the 6-foot-2, 205 pounder threw for 581 yards and five touchdowns in a 36-31 win.



Fellow Utah quarterback Helaman Casuga of Corner Canyon (Draper) is next at No. 5 with 1,607 yards. The four-star junior has thrown 18 touchdowns against two interceptions.
