Baseball Game Preview: Buchholz Bobcats vs. Tate Aggies

The Buchholz Bobcats will square off against the Tate Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buchholz will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Buchholz is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past First Coast 9-2. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by seven runs or more this season.

Dion Wilburn looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Roen Kresak was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kai So, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tate earned an 8-3 victory over Fletcher on Saturday.

Lance Brady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaden Posta, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Cal Foxworth was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Buchholz pushed their record up to 28-1 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Tate, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.
