The Howard Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Westside Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

In Monday's Canine Competition, Howard had to take the L. They came up short against Jones County on Monday, falling 33-3. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westside). Everything went their way against Cross Creek on Friday as Westside made off with a 22-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Razorbacks: they've now won eight in a row.

Tristan Williamson made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Westside is undefeated when Williamson allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Williamson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Westside got a massive performance out of Justin Lampkin, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Robert Sullivan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Westside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win got Westside back to even at 3-3. As for Howard, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
