Maria Carrillo prepares to host a special TOC 2013-14 ceremony where the girls soccer team will be nationally recognized by MaxPreps.
MaxPreps is pleased to announce that the
Maria Carrillo Pumas have officially been named to the 3rd Annual MaxPreps Soccer Tour of Champions Presented by the Army National Guard.
This exclusive honor is reserved for only 20 of the best teams in the entire country. Given the fact that 32,000 varsity teams compete, that puts the Pumas ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!
In order to be eligible, the team not only had to be nationally ranked, but also had to win a section championship. Beating Montgomery 2-1 on Nov. 16 marked the completion of an incredible 20-0-1 season — and earned Maria Carrillo an invitation to the Tour of Champions.
